Heathrow Airport Directions
Heathrow Airport is located just 14 miles west of central London. It's situated next to junction 4a of the M4 motorway or junction 14 of the M25 motorway.
The airport is signposted on most motorways and main roads as you near the M25 motorway.
Heathrow is also accessible by train via the Heathrow Express which runs from Paddington in central London to Heathrow Airport every 15 minutes. Journey time is just 15 minutes, 7/8 minutes more to Terminal 4. The service runs from 05:07 to 00:01 (from Heathrow). However the Heathrow Express is quite expensive - a single fare costs £14.00.
The London Underground's Piccadilly line also runs to Heathrow. Currently it is not running to Terminal 4 due to construction of the new Terminal 5 building due for completion in 2006.
There are also various bus and coaches that go to all four terminals. National Express for example run coaches from all over the country to Heathrow.
